Ten books

I had to count twice to believe it myself: The August Current is my tenth book. Ten! I honestly never thought I’d get this far. Each book felt like it could be the last, and yet somehow the words kept showing up, asking me to follow.
This one came fast and unexpected, in a rush of nights where I barely slept. I didn’t plan it, I didn’t even want to start another book this year… but it insisted. So here we are. Ninety poems, some of them messy and handwritten, some polished on the page, all of them carrying that strange mix of storms and stillness I can never quite escape.
I won’t pretend it’s perfect. But I am proud of it. Proud that it exists at all, proud that it demanded to be written, proud that it pushed me into book number ten.
The Kindle edition is already out in the world, and the paperback will follow on September 21st, right on the equinox. A fitting date for a book born in-between—between sleep and wake, light and shadow, silence and words.
Thank you for being here, whether this is the first of my books you’ve found or the tenth. It means more than I can put into words (and that says a lot coming from me).

    1. Thank you Jeff. You are always so kind and supportive to me. And I know that poetry is not your thing, but still you are there encouraging and nice and all. Thank you very very much. It matters a lot to me.
