credit, where credit is due

If something I wrote resonates with you, if a line stays with you or speaks a truth you have felt yourself, then I am honestly glad. That is the quiet hope behind sharing my words at all.

You are welcome to quote me, to share my writing, to let it move beyond this space. But please do not post it without my name. When you remove the author, you also remove the story behind the words, the hours that shaped them, and the voice that wrote them.

I do not have a large platform. My Instagram is private, my blog is small. That does not make what I write free for the taking. Being quiet online does not mean I am not present, and it certainly does not mean I do not care.

If something in my writing speaks to you, I am grateful. But gratitude should never replace attribution. It takes little effort to mention a name. It takes more effort to ignore the fact that a name was ever there.

I am not here to drop names, to argue, or to accuse. I am not chasing drama. I am simply asking for a basic level of integrity and human decency. This post was written after seeing one of my poems shared on an Instagram account that was not mine, without any tag or credit.

To those reading and checking in daily, thank you. I appreciate you. As I said, share my words in your world, just please remember to attach my name or blog to it. ❤️💜

    1. Definitely. I am really not against sharing what you like as long as the original authour is credited. My account is really tiny, but that doesn’t mean my writing isn’t striking a chord. It is easier to pass off as one’s own though, I guess.

Thank you for the visit. I hope you like what you see. Have a great day.
