The last time I shared anything was last Monday. In the meantime, things happened. Nothing to do with my art but with my personal life and my clumsiness. Last Tuesday, I fell down the stairs. Hurt toes, knee, and because it is so much fun (note the sarcasm) I hurt my arm/shoulder too.
I have to say, adding to the bruised body is a bruised ego. And why does something like a fractured or bruised toe hurt so much and affect movement and all?
Usually, I think I can take pain quite well, but this really hurts and I am not looking forward to wearing shoes and going back to work on Monday. I still love my job but as I said multiple times in this very small blog post, I am in pain. My toes hurt and my knee hurts and my arm does too. (Good news about my arm is that it is not as bad as initially feared, but still…)
Have a good weekend, stay safe
xx

This is a difficult post to ‘like’, but wanted to show my support Cathy. That’s terrible you’ve been suffering from so much pain in several parts of your body. It’s probably no consolation that at least you weren’t more severely injured, as many people have died from falling down stairs. I hope your injuries heal quickly and that you’ll be feeling better soon.

Thank you, it’s so stupid really, but something as simple as a toe really hurts. I got lucky in that it were only three steps. I must say, it really did a number on my mental state too… But everything will heal eventually

After living in several multi-story apartments and houses from 1984-2011, I’m happy to now live in a simple one-story house. (I’m also fatter than I’ve ever been!)

LoL, one-story is very very seldom here in Luxembourg… But we have 32 steps in the house to get from the kitchen to the bedrooms… I feel every one of them right now
