the weight we carry

In the stillness of the night,
When the strain is hard to bear,
Every crack beneath the light
Is a feather I’ve come to wear.

Like whispers in the wind,
Softly calling through the ache,
It’s the only thread that binds,
In a world that seems to break.

Though the hurt may linger on,
And the scars refuse to fade,
Love will lead me where I belong,
And heal the wounds we can’t evade.

When the road becomes too steep,
And hope begins to fall,
I’ll find the spark that love ignites—
A flame that never dies at all.
