Consumed by the flame, I stand at the edge,
My heart a fluttering moth, drawn to its blaze.
The warmth beckons, yet I hesitate to claim
This fervent desire that my mind still betrays.
The familiar path stretches out before me,
The comfort of what I know, a siren’s song.
But the exhilaration of a love sublime
Whispers a siren’s call, tempting me along.
I teeter on this precipice, torn asunder,
The roar of the abyss echoing in my ears.
Shall I take the leap, embrace the unknown wonder?
Or cling to the safety that my spirit fears?
The scent of possibility fills the air,
Caressing my skin with its tantalizing touch.
The sounds of change crescendo, thundering near
-This moment of truth, I can no longer clutch.
With a deep breath, I close my eyes and leap,
Casting off the shackles of what I once knew.
Into the unknown I plummet, heart racing,
Emerging reborn, my spirit soaring anew.
