this is a first

at least for me it is a first: schools stay closed here in Luxembourg because of the weather. Ice rain and important amounts of snow were announced last night. It is a first for me as being part of a school community that has to arrange and organised a canceled day at school.

So now, I was allowed to stay home, and I did some work (preparing stuff). I am looking out the window and see ice falling from the sky .

Nice.

I like being home. This is the first time I live in a house that is also a home. And it is a home because of the people living here with me.

24 years ago, it was a Monday morning, I saw a shooting star and wished that the blind date I would have that evening would be with the man I would marry. And wouldn’t you know?! It is exactly what happened. 24 years ago today, I first saw my husband and I fell in love on the spot. I love that man for all the big and small things he does. I love him for who he is and for the man he became. I love everything about him, even the things that drive me crazy occasionally.
