Goodbye, Anathema

I was a bit too busy doing nothing during the day and visiting family for dinner to write anything new.

I haven’t listened to this band in a long while, and yet, it still means something to me. With a bit of distance, some songs are pretentious, some are not all that good, but others are still and will always be masterpieces. It’s the Soundtrack of my youth. It’s the songs that offered comfort and understanding… anathema’s music meant a lot to me for a long while. Things have changed. I have changed. My mind had changed. But, being reminded of the music that shaped me and the songs that inspired me in so many ways… it still feels like coming home. Three years ago, the band split… it’s just one of those things, I guess…
