“you’d be surprised at how good you are for me” he whispered and she scoffed. It was his way of manipulating her into doing what he wanted – what he needed. But she knew how and what he was thinking. And she was not willing to play. “You don’t understand what I need” he tried again, but she did not fall for his trap. She liked him, but she did not allow him to make the rules. Not anymore. He tried again and again to guilt-trip her into doing what he wanted. But she did not give in. She felt some kind of pity and it was worse than falling for his lies. And yet, she did not budge. She did what was best. For her and for him. Because she loved him. At least some days, this was true.
