Song of the Day (Wednesday)

Lambert – sweet apocalypse

This piece is from an album with the same name. Sweet Apocalypse, 2017. Lambert is a German composer who is only ever seen wearing a mask.

As I mentioned before, I am writing a lot these days and today, I chose piano music to keep me company. I am listening to a playlist on Spotify called Atmospheric Piano.

I hope you are all well, I am busy busy busy. I am writing on my novel, there is some writing (and thinking) that has to be done for work. I am on leave because of the kids, but I offered my help anyway. And, I was asked to write a review for an album that should be released by the end of the month.

How are you keeping busy?

  1. I’m a teacher so here in Ontario that means I’m on Spring break for this week. But the private school I work on decided to follow all public schools and close for the two weeks after the break. The government told the public schools they had to last Thursday and our board of directors made the same choice after that was announced. Only just yesterday did the government tell private schools to close!

Since we knew on Thursday, Friday was a panic to send books and lessons home. This week instead of resting I am making videos and slide presentations using the google drive/slides/classroom platform so my students have lessons for next week and the week after. It’s kind of fun and weird reading story books to myself in my bedroom while recording it on my phone 😂😂

  2. Teaching now is a challenge. I have outmost respect for every teacher right now. My kids have to be homeschooled now too. It’s fun for me, I enjoy it. But I guess many people don’t know what to do with their kids.
Nurseries (and school and everything really) were closed on Monday. Educators had to keep working until yesterday afternoon. I am on a special leave to stay with the kids, but I “asked” for more work. There is a lot of thinking to do, about the way we are organising our work and all. Everyone was asked to work on that – apart from those with kids. I could put my feet up and do nothing, but I can’t, lol.

I am glad I don’t have to work with toddlers via WhatsApp or other apps, lol.
